The book has several stamps on binding and title page as well from Nazi-Germany and from the Map Service of the American Army with cancelation stamps. - The binding is minimal soiled but the book itself is in a very good and clean state. The Peace of Amiens called a temporary cessation of the Napoleonic Wars, with important consequences for American shipping; the collapse of the peace later led directly to Napoleon's decision to sell Louisiana. In immediate terms, it ceded the islands of Trinidad and Tobago to the British. The French also regained their rights to fish off the coast of Newfoundland.
