A very good coopy of this important work, which was sceduled to contain 16 volumes, but due to the rise of the National-Sozialistic government in Germany and the impossible situation for the Jews, many of the Encyclopaedias Staff members and co-workers was forced to go into exile, the work stopped publication in 1934 at volume 10 at the word "Lyra". ---- The top and buttom of spines of some volumes little worn.
